Since 1971 / Made in Italy
From a small garage in the suburbs of Milan to the pinnacle of the world's endurance races, Half a century of Italian motorcycle legends.
On a winter night in 1971, driven purely by his passion for motorcycle racing, Pietro Sironi and Fausto Vergani sat around a table in Vimercate, province of Milan, and came up with the idea of creating an off-road motorcycle that could compete with the strong rivals in Europe.
1971 - Vimercate, Italy
The Sogliola (flatfish) series was launched, shifting from handmade production to mass production. Winning the Italian 125cc off-road championship marked SWM's transition from a garage workshop to formalized production.

Due to economic difficulties and internal management issues, SWM temporarily came to an end in its glory. However, the legend has never been forgotten; it is merely waiting for the right moment to rise again.
Uncompromising quality is the mission of SWM Motorcycles, which aims to produce technologically advanced motorcycles.
